iNet Studios Partnership

Been a while since our last blog update.  A few weeks ago we did a shoot with some very cool people, who we are forming a partnership with.  Gary Ricke approached us in the late spring with an idea, a way to bring some business our way.  Gary is the owner of a web design company called Orbis Web design.  He is very connected, knows some photographers, actors, and videographers.  He thought, hey why not bring all of us together in some kind of collaborative ad agency. I immediately went for the idea, and a few months later we shot a demo video with Gary and one of the actors Tom.

The first video here goes over what exactly iNet Studios is, and Gary talks briefly about a video package we offer for some on site work.  The video below Tom discusses the benefits of using an actor versus an amateur when shooting video.  Outside of the up and coming iNet Studios, things with ReMax and Ginko Media have been pushed back until September.  We were contacted by a company that Ginko Media brought to us last week.  They want to make some green screen videos that they hope to push for some viral attention, we are very excited to get this project off the ground.

Anyways, things keep looking better every day for 480i, and there are lots of good things on the horizon for us.  Hope you enjoy reading the blog!

REMAX Dry Run

So we are vamping up production for a REMAX campaign pushing out in early August. We shot three test videos last Friday out in Arlington Heights. These videos will be used for a sort of “Video Resume” if you will, for real estate agents. We shot on a green screen and had fun chroma keying things into the background.

We are working closely with a company called Ginko Media on this project.  We hope to have a lot of business with them in the future after the REMAX project closes its doors.  Right now we have two days in August set aside for a sort of video seminar days where we will have the real estate agents from REMAX come in one at a time to record their own segment.  We were lucky to have a representative from Ginko Media build a teleprompter for this project, it is going to be a big help.  Above is a photo taken on the set, and below is a still from one of the videos after some post production magic.

Cheers

480i

That’s one small step for us, one Giant leap for 480i

This extremely awkward, not up to par photo represents Danny and Kyle after their first official 480i Productions shoot on Saturday June 26th, 2010.  This day will go down in history as a cornerstone for video enthusiasts around the world.  Danny and Kyle covered a family reunion out in Elburn, IL where they shot video footage of the events, and interactions happening.  They also shot a few interviews with family members who shared touching, and hilarious stories of the family’s past.

The Holter Family Reunion

Danny and I knocked out the editing the next day, and the video turned out very good! Stay tuned for an update on our portfolio page!

Hard at work, editing some videos, and creating songs.

New Lighting Kit

So yesterday we purchased a Smith Victor lighting kit.  Although we will mainly be using it for video, we thought it would cool to take a test photo since we set up the lights.  One of our roommate’s was nice enough to pose infront of his record collection.  He has over 1,200 LPs which we thought was very cool, and suitable for the blog.  Know someone with an interesting collection or story to share with the world? Suggest a video to them so they may share their experience with friends and family.

New Opportunities

Yesterday, I talked with a representative from Ginko Media, with whom we will be partnering up to make videos for ReMax Real Esate. No, these aren’t going to be house tours–they’ll be kind of like “get to know your real estate agent” videos. I think this concept is pretty cool, and will be a great chance for change in an industry that seems to need a little help lately. The campaign will be pushing out in early July, and we are very excited to be a part of it.
